Founded by Dr. Donald Lakeland, a metallurgist and lecturer at the University of Queensland, our Rubbedin journey began with creating Magic Hotplate Restorer, a product born out of Don’s desire to solve his sister-in-law’s rusty stove problem.

Since then, Rubbedin has expanded its product range to include many more innovative solutions, driven by Don’s passion for solving cleaning and surface protection challenges. Furthermore, one such brand is Firewise, which has become a favourite among our customers. Today, we are proud to carry on Dr. Lakeland’s legacy under the leadership of Ian Smits.
